아침에 일어나니 대지가 조용하게 내린 비로 촉촉하게 젖어있습니다.

이런 일 저런 일 정리를 끝내고 조용하고 우울한 세상으로 나서며 마음을 차분하게 가져봅니다.

어째 비 오는 날이면 세상의 시끄러움도 더 조용해지는지 알 수는 없지만, 나만의 세계로 빠져버릴 수 있는 충분한 여건이 만들어졌다고 생각합니다.

 

차를 몰고, 도로에서 한적한 산길로 접어들었습니다. 가끔 마주하는 풍경들이지만, 비 오는 풍경은 오늘도 낯설게 느껴지는 이유는 보통의 사람들은 맑은 날의 외출을 더 선호하기 때문이 아닐까 생각합니다.

 

한적한 시골길은 그냥 세상의 소리 중에 빗소리와 차바퀴가 굴러가면서 만들어 내는 소소한 소리밖에 들리지 않습니다. 때론 창문을 열고 창문을 따라 흘러내리는 물방울을 쓸어내려 버리듯 슬며시 창문이 내려가고 상쾌하고 신선한 시골의 바람이 차 안으로 빨려들어 옵니다. 세상의 불쾌함과 거북함이 지금의 깨끗한 공기와 바람에 씻겨내러 가듯 마음의 평온함이 함께 만들어져 다가옵니다.

 

목적지에 도착하고 가방을 메고, 장화를 신고, 얕은 개울을 걸으며 점점 계곡으로 오르다 보면, 주변의 나무들과 물소리와 바람 소리가 하나가 되어 주변을 감싸게 됩니다. 힘들지는 않지만 주의 깊게 주변을 관찰하며 한걸음 옮기는 그 기분은, 무엇으로 표현하기 어려운 공감의 시간이 됩니다. 어느새 출발할 때의 부드러운 가랑비는 진눈깨비가 되었고, 좀 더 시간이 흐르니 함박눈이 되어 시야를 가리고 있습니다.

 

바람에 방향을 잡은 함박눈은 저물어가는 겨울의 옷자락을 잡을 듯 거세고 활기차게 자연 속에 녹아내리고 나뭇가지와 들녘의 마른 잎들 위에 소복하게 자리를 잡기 시작합니다.

그 길을 따라 오르던 걸음은 다시 돌아갈 수밖에 없는 결정의 순간을 맞이했고, 포근했던 기온의 느낌도 조금씩 떨어진 기온 탓에 가벼운 추위를 느끼기에, 충분한 떨림이 느껴지기 시작합니다.

 

다시 오른 차 안의 따스한 온기는 운전대를 잡고 길로 접어들 때까지도 그 아름다운 경치에 매료가 되어 정신없이 지나쳐왔던 그 자연의 풍경들을 다시금 흩어내러 가고 있습니다.

주변의 푸른 소나무숲들은 어느새 하얀 겉옷을 차려입었으며, 나뭇가지 위에 내려앉은 눈도 겨울의 풍경을 가득 담고 있습니다. 이런 풍경을 따뜻한 차 안에서 즐기는 기분도 색다른 즐거움을 선사하는 듯 낮은 속도로 한산한 도로를 달려며, 겨울의 작은 풍경을 눈에 가득 담고 있습니다.

 

돌아오는 길은 따분할 수 있지만, 때늦은 가랑비가 함박눈으로 바뀌는 경이로움에 또 다른 행복의 힐링이 가득할 기회를 만들어준 그것에 감사합니다. 오늘의 즐거움과 행복은 생활의 활력소를 생산하며, 추억을 눈과 사진으로 가득 담아 두었기에 언제든 만족감을 다시금 기억할 수 있는 시간으로 만들기에 충분한 의미를 담고 있습니다.

I drove my car down a quiet mountain path from the road. Although these are occasional scenes, I think the rainy scenery still feels strange today because the average person prefers to go out on a clear day.

The quiet country road can only hear the sound of rain and the small sound produced by the rolling wheels of the car among the sounds of the world. Sometimes the window slides down as if opening the window and sweeping away the water droplets flowing down along the window, and the fresh and fresh country wind is sucked into the car. The discomfort and discomfort of the world come together as if being washed away by the current clean air and wind.
